Michael Lippert

Michael Lippert is director of Academy Choirs at Punahou School. He is also conductor of the University Chorus at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. A past president of ACDA-Hawaii, his choirs frequently debut newly commissioned and emerging choral repertoire, most recently the Hawaii premiere of Susie Ibarra's The City, as part of Radio Radiance, sponsored by the Young People's Chorus of NYC. Mike holds degrees in conducting and music education from Ithaca College, and Creative Writing and Social and Decision Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a candidate for Dalcroze Certificate at the Marta Sanchez Dalcroze Training Center at Carnegie Mellon University.


HMEA Mission Statement

The aims and purposes of HMEA shall be: (a) to develop and promote music and music education throughout the state of Hawai`i and (b) to promote mutual cooperation and good will among its members.
