Daryl Hickman

Daryl Hickman holds degrees from Central Florida Community College, Renton Technical College, the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Music Education degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Mr. Hickman served as Instructor of Band Instrument Repair Technology at Renton Technical College for 11 years.  Prior to his appointment at RTC, Mr. Hickman owned a band instrument repair facility and taught instrumental music in the public schools of Florida and Missouri.

He is a member of the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians and served as President of the organization. In his duties with NAPBIRT, Daryl travels throughout the United States giving clinics on band and string instrument repair. He is a past recipient of the Dick Rush Memorial Award as Outstanding Conference Clinician and the RTC Outstanding Faculty Award.


HMEA Mission Statement

The aims and purposes of HMEA shall be: (a) to develop and promote music and music education throughout the state of Hawai`i and (b) to promote mutual cooperation and good will among its members.
