Welcome to the Hawaii Music Educators’ Association website. Our organization is a small but powerful group of dedicated music educators. We are interested in helping uphold the highest standards of music instruction and teaching quality for the students of Hawai’i.

We are also interested in supporting music teachers through professional development. We hold an annual in-service conference, usually in the third or fourth week of January. We welcome attendees, exhibitors and clinicians from the mainland U.S. and abroad. The conference this year is hosted by the Marine Forces Pacific Band in Kaneohe, Hawaii on the island of Oahu.

Clinicians include Dr. Tim Lautzenheizer, Robert W. Smith, Dr. Patti DeWitt, Jim Tintner, Bill Dick, Dr. Chet-Yeng Loong, Dr. Joe Ruskowski, Michael Nakasone, and Beth Uale. Please browse our website and join us for a conference!
